About Me.

I'm a passionate product designer dedicated to crafting digital experiences that blend creativity and functionality. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Information Science at the University of Michigan, I’m focused on exploring the intersection of design, technology, and innovation. With experience across Ecommerce, Entertainment, Finance, Dining, and Education sectors, I’ve delivered impactful projects in both B2C and B2B (SaaS) spaces. I specialize in interactive animations and customer-centric design, leveraging various design tools to creatively solve complex problems.

Outside of design, I enjoy sketching, photography, writing, singing, traveling, and playing the ukulele, all of which contribute to a well-rounded skill set and strong interpersonal abilities.

My Internship Journey with Dineout

Here’s my story of the internship, along with some of my learnings and key takeaways that I gathered during that period.

Over the almost three years I’ve had the privilege of working with her, I’ve seen her consistently take on challenges head-on, delivering excellence time after time. She has played a key role in bringing over 30+ features to life, each one a testament to her creativity, attention to detail, and deep understanding of user needs. Samikshya has a rare talent for turning user insights into actionable designs while seamlessly balancing business goals and technical feasibility—an essential skill for any designer aiming to make a meaningful impact. Beyond her technical skills, Samikshya’s collaborative spirit shines brightly. She is a helping hand to her teammates, fosters positive relationships with stakeholders, and creates an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive. Her ability to bring teams together ensures not just project success but also a harmonious working atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of working with Samikshya Satpathy at Dineout for her summer internship + Extended internship + Graduation Project. The two of us worked together on several projects daily during that period. I was consistently impressed by their work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to take on new challenges.

Samikshya consistently met and exceeded project deadlines, and was a valuable member of our team. The ability of her communication and understanding made her someone you liked to brainstorm with. Her problem-solving skills helped us find creative solutions to complex design projects.

One of the best things about her is that she has a high level of dedication, professionalism, and expertise that will enrich the team and company culture.
